a/an/the 到底怎么选?看完这篇直接会用

我带过一个娃，冠词题能错一半。

问他"这是___英语书"，他填 a。我说不对，应该是 an English book。他瞪大眼睛："E不是元音吗？不对吗？"

对，也不对。问题不在字母，在读音。

今天把 a / an / the 一次讲透——规则就这么几条，例句都给你摆好了，看完直接会用。

a vs an：别盯字母，盯读音

很多娃以为：元音字母开头用 an，辅音字母开头用 a。

错。看的是后面单词第一个音素，不是字母。

举几个一看就懂：

an hour —— h 不发音，第一个音是元音 /aʊ/，所以用 ana university —— u 发 /juː/，第一个音是辅音 /j/，所以用 aan honest boy —— h 不发音，用 ana European country —— Eu 发 /jʊ/，辅音开头，用 a

再记一组：

a one-way street —— one 发 /w/，辅音开头，用 aan X-ray —— X 读 /eks/，元音开头，用 an

一句话规则：开口读，第一个音是元音就用 an，是辅音就用 a。

别盯着字母看，张嘴读一遍就知道了。

a/an vs the：第一次 vs 再一次

这个规则考试最爱考，其实一句话：

第一次提到用 a/an，再次提到用 the。

看例句：

I saw a dog in the garden. （第一次说，不知道哪只狗）The dog was black. （再提，就是刚才那只）

再看一组：

There is a book on the desk. （随便一本）I like the book you gave me. （特指你给的那本）

a/an 是"有一个"，the 是"就是那个"。

the 的 3 个高频考点

不是所有 the 都考，但这三个考试年年出：

考点一 · 世上独一无二

太阳、月亮、地球、天空——只有一个的，加 the。

The sun rises in the east.The moon is full tonight.We live on the earth.

考点二 · 最高级 / 方位词

形容词最高级（best、tallest）和方位词（east、west）前面加 the。

He is the tallest boy in class.Shanghai is in the east of China.This is the most interesting book.

考点三 · 乐器

play + the + 乐器：

She plays the piano every day.He can play the guitar.

但注意！运动球类不加 the：

He plays basketball. ✅ 不加 the❌ He plays the basketball.

零冠词：这些时候什么都不加

考试最怕的不是"该加什么"，而是"什么时候什么都不加"。

记 4 个场景：

1. 三餐have breakfast / have lunch / have dinnerI have breakfast at 7.

2. 球类运动play basketball / play football / play tennisHe plays football after school.

3. 学科study math / learn English / like scienceWe study math on Monday.

4. by + 交通工具by bus / by train / by plane / by bikeI go to school by bike.

注意：by bus 不加 the，但 on the bus 加 the。因为 by 表"方式"，on 表"在……上"。
